Events Architecture, Environment, Japanese Philosophy

April 17th, 2026. 16:00~19:00 JST

Nanzan Institute for Religion and Culture (room 217)

In the Anthropocene era in which we now live, the relationship between architecture and the environment takes on a different meaning than in the past. How might we conceive of this new reality? Drawing on contemporary Japanese philosophy—particularly the works of Tetsuro Watsuji and Kitaro Nishida—the three speakers will explore possible approaches to this question.

This workshop will take place in English. It will be possible to ask questions using other languages.
