Kim Seung Chul

Specialization: Christian Dialogue with Religion and Science, Christian Literature

Seung Chul Kim studied physics at Korea University and received his doctorate of theology from the University of Basel in Switzerland in 1989. He taught in Korea and Japan for twenty years before joining the Nanzan Institute for Religion and Culture in Nagoya, where he served as Director from 2016 to 2021. Kim has published numerous works in Korean, Japanese, English, and German. His recent monograph, Endō Shūsaku and the Detective Novel (in Japanese), was double awarded by the Japan Society of Mystery Writers and the Japan Association of Catholic Universities and Junior Colleges in 2020.
