Research Specialization: Historical Sociology, East Asian Civilization, Cultural Exchange & Intellectual History

Dr. Young-kyun Choi is a visiting research fellow at the Nanzan Institute for Religion and Culture (NIRC). He received his Ph.D. in Sociology from the Academy of Korean Studies in 2010 and and previously served as director of Korean Christian Thought Institute. His research focuses on historical sociology, East Asian intellectual history, and multiculturalism. His major publications include The Lifeworld and Migrant Communities of Diaspora, East Asian Civilization and Jesuit Accommodation, among others.
