Published with the University of Hawai‘i Press in 2006, for almost two decades the Nanzan Guide to Japanese Religions has served as a guide to central historical and thematic issues for students and scholars in the study of Japanese Religions.
The volume has been reissued in paperback, and to celebrate this event we will host an online discussion of the book’s impact on the study of Japanese Religions, how the field has changed since the original publication, and possible new directions for the study of religion and Japan in the future.
