第2回 西谷啓治 『空と即』

The workshop will be held on the topic of “Emptiness and soku.” The main reference will be the 1982 text 『空と即』taken from Volume 13 of Nishitani’s Collected Works, pp. 111-160 (English translation in Modern Japanese Aesthetics: A Reader, trans. and ed. by Michele Marra, Honolulu: University of Hawai'i Press, 1999). The goal will be to contextualize and elaborate on Nishitani’s notions of “emptiness” and “soku” and to use his reflections as groundwork for further explorations into the philosophical significance of the encounter between religions. All participants, in person and connected remotely, are invited to actively participate in the discussion after each presentation.

Der Workshop wird zum Thema „Leere und soku“ abgehalten. Haupt-Bezugspunkt ist der Text 『空と即』 aus dem Jahr 1982 , enthalten in Band 13 von Nishitanis Gesammelten Werken, S. 111-160 (englische Übersetzung in Modern Japanese Aesthetics: A Reader, trans. and ed. by Michele Marra, Honolulu: University of Hawai'i Press, 1999). Ziel des Workshops ist es, Nishitanis Begriffe der „Leere“ und des „soku“ zu kontextualisieren und zu vertiefen und seine Überlegungen als Grundlage für weitere Erkundungen der philosophischen Bedeutung der Begegnung zwischen den Religionen zu nutzen. Alle Teilnehmer, ob persönlich oder per Zoom, sind eingeladen, sich nach jedem Vortrag aktiv an der Diskussion zu beteiligen.

本ワークショップのテーマは 「空と即」とする。主な参考文献は、1982年のテキスト『空と即』（西谷全集第13巻111-160頁。英訳はModern Japanese Aesthetics： A Reader, Trans. and ed. by Michele Marra, Honolulu： University of Hawai'i Press, 1999参照）。本ワークショップの目的は、西谷における「空」と「即」という概念を文脈付け、解明することを通して、西谷の考察を踏まえて、宗教間の出会いの哲学的意義をさらに探求するための土台を築くとする。各発表後、参加者は、対面でも遠隔でも、積極的にディスカッションを行う。
