Speakers Bendik Manum

Visiting Project Researcher Bendik Manum will give a talk about his current research regarding ecology and philosophy. Through his "deep ecology," the Norwegian philosopher Arne Ness (1912–2009) contributed significantly to the development of environmental philosophy. This talk presents some key points of Arne Ness’s philosophy and comments in the light of "the world of living things” as explained by Kinji Imanishi (1902–1992).The event will consist of a 45 minute lecture by Prof. Manum followed by 45 minutes of discussion.
