The author proposes a perspective of his practice as a therapist with the concepts proposed by Nishida. The notions of negating self-awakening, absolutely contradictory self-identity, and continuity of discontinuity will be particularly commented on. The relationship with others, within which the being reveals itself while denying itself, is thus highlighted as the foundation of what defines the individual more than anything else. Some observations of patients are presented as an illustration of these notions.
